1. Child-facing education, adult-facing data collection<\/h2>\n

RTH creates Heart Hero stories, activities, educator resources, and other material intended for children and the adults who support them. The public website is designed so children can benefit from content without being required to create an account, submit a health history, upload a photo, disclose a location, or complete a personal wellness profile.<\/p>\n

2. Children under 13<\/h2>\n

RTH does not knowingly request personal information directly from children under 13 through its child-facing public pages. General contact, partnership, purchasing, pilot, and program forms are intended for adults. A parent, legal guardian, educator, or other authorized adult should make inquiries involving a child.<\/p>\n

3. No child health or character scoring<\/h2>\n

RTH public youth programs do not assign a child a 0\u2013100 wellness, mental-health, resilience, readiness, character, or risk score. Participation or completion badges may recognize an activity without rating a child’s worth, health, or character.<\/p>\n

4. Data we do not ask children to provide<\/h2>\n

Child-facing pages should not request a child’s full name, home address, precise geolocation, phone number, email address, school schedule, medical record, diagnosis, medication list, biometric identifier, photo\/video\/audio submission, or persistent identifier for behavioral advertising.<\/p>\n

5. Parents and guardians<\/h2>\n

If you believe RTH received personal information directly from a child under 13, contact RTH with enough information to locate the submission. RTH will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete or appropriately isolate information collected inconsistently with this policy, subject to legal preservation requirements.<\/p>\n

6. Schools and educators<\/h2>\n

Schools and educators using public RTH materials remain responsible for their own student-privacy obligations, notices, consents, records, devices, learning-management systems, and local policies. Public RTH resources should not be used to create an unauthorized student health record or behavioral profile.<\/p>\n

7. Third parties and advertising<\/h2>\n

RTH does not intentionally use child-facing RTH content for behaviorally targeted advertising to children. Third-party embeds, trackers, or plug-ins that collect personal information should be disabled or avoided on child-directed experiences unless a documented lawful basis and appropriate parental notice\/consent process exists.<\/p>\n

8. Retention and security<\/h2>\n

If information about a child is lawfully collected in a future controlled program, RTH will use data minimization, purpose limitation, reasonable security safeguards, and a defined retention\/deletion process appropriate to the program and applicable law.<\/p>\n

9. Future interactive youth products<\/h2>\n

Any future interactive product that knowingly collects personal information from children will require a separate launch review addressing age screening or age assurance, parental notice and verifiable consent where required, service-provider controls, security, retention, deletion, and the current Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA).<\/p>\n

10. Photos, video, stories, and public recognition involving youth<\/h2>\n

RTH should not publicly identify a child through a full name, school schedule, precise location, health condition, or other sensitive detail without an appropriate adult authorization process and a documented program purpose. Youth photos, video, audio, testimonials, or creative work used in public RTH materials should be governed by appropriate permission, minimization, and retention practices.<\/p>\n

11. School and organizational programs<\/h2>\n

If a school, team, nonprofit, camp, or other organization implements an RTH program, the organization remains responsible for its own student records, consent obligations, devices, accounts, learning platforms, and local privacy requirements. A separate agreement may be required before RTH receives identifiable student information.<\/p>\n

12. Youth privacy requests<\/h2>\n

Parents, legal guardians, and authorized institutions may contact RTH regarding information they reasonably believe concerns a child. RTH may request information needed to verify identity, guardianship, or authority before disclosing, correcting, or deleting records.<\/p>\n

13. No sale or behavioral profiling of child data<\/h2>\n

RTH does not intend to sell personal information about children or use child-facing RTH experiences to build advertising profiles. Any future youth-facing technology that materially changes these practices must undergo a separate privacy and product-governance review before launch.<\/p>\n
