1. Agreement

By using RestartingTheHeart.com, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. RTH ecosystem and entity separation

Restarting The Heart is an ecosystem that includes distinct commercial, educational, community-impact, publishing, research, and technology activities. A page, form, transaction, program, or support opportunity should identify the responsible entity or pathway. A payment to a commercial seller is not a charitable donation. No donation pathway should be treated as active unless the receiving entity, receipt language, payment destination, and fund controls are clearly identified.

3. Educational information only

Website content is provided for general education, advocacy, research communication, preparedness, recovery education, leadership development, and public information. It is not individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, legal advice, psychotherapy, emergency monitoring, return-to-play clearance, or a substitute for a qualified professional.

4. Research and product-status boundaries

The Neurocardiac Model™ is presented as an evidence-informed, hypothesis-generating framework rather than a validated diagnostic, predictive, or treatment standard. SuperstarIQ is a technology product in development and validation. The Superstar Standard™ is an educational and developmental framework, not a clinical assessment or medical clearance system. Status labels such as "in development," "coming soon," "planned," or "pilot" are material and should be read as part of the content.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, RTH owns or licenses the site's text, graphics, branding, curricula, frameworks, original publications, downloadable resources, layout elements, and other original content. Names and marks including Restarting The Heart, Superstar Standard™, SuperstarIQ™, Neurocardiac Model™, Neurocardiac Method™, and other identified RTH marks may be protected by trademark, copyright, contract, or other law.

You may link to public pages and use public resources according to the license or use notice accompanying the resource. You may not remove attribution, misrepresent RTH affiliation, reproduce a paid work, resell a resource, train a commercial dataset on proprietary RTH materials where prohibited by law or license, or create confusingly similar branded materials without permission.

6. User submissions

Do not submit confidential business information, proprietary material, medical records, personal health information, child-sensitive information, or information you lack authority to provide. You remain responsible for the lawfulness and accuracy of what you submit. Submitting an inquiry gives RTH permission to use the submitted information as reasonably necessary to respond and administer the requested interaction.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the site to violate law; interfere with security; probe or exploit vulnerabilities without authorization; introduce malicious code; scrape in a manner that degrades service or violates applicable rights; impersonate another person; submit fraudulent requests; infringe intellectual property; or use RTH educational content to make unauthorized clinical, legal, certification, or accreditation claims.

To report a suspected vulnerability or security incident, email security@restartingtheheart.com. The existence of this reporting channel does not authorize testing, access, disruption, retention, or disclosure of RTH systems or data.

8. Third-party content and links

Links to third parties are provided for convenience, reference, purchasing, or evidence review. RTH does not control and does not automatically endorse third-party content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices.

9. Commerce

If the RTH shop is activated, purchases are also governed by the Terms of Sale, Shipping Policy, Returns & Exchanges Policy, and Digital Download Policy as applicable. Product-specific terms shown at checkout form part of the transaction.

10. No warranty

The site and its public content are provided on an "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. RTH does not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, completeness of third-party information, or that educational content will produce a particular health, legal, academic, athletic, financial, or personal outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RTH and its responsible entities will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising solely from use of the public website or reliance on general educational content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Governing law

These website terms are governed by applicable United States law and, where state law governs and no mandatory law requires otherwise, the laws of South Carolina, without creating jurisdiction where it would not otherwise exist.

13. Changes

RTH may update these terms to reflect changes in services, law, technology, or operations. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
