Accessibility Statement
The accessibility target, design and content commitments, communication options, and barrier-reporting pathway used to make RTH information and services more usable by more people.
Our commitment
Restarting The Heart is committed to making its public website, forms, resources, and digital content usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an operating requirement, not merely a visual preference.
Technical target
RTH uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its current design and testing target where reasonably applicable. This is a target for continuous improvement and should not be read as a claim that every page, legacy document, or third-party component has been independently certified as conformant.
Practices included in the website program
- keyboard-accessible navigation and controls;
- visible focus indicators;
- semantic headings and landmarks;
- text alternatives for meaningful images;
- labels, instructions, and error identification for forms;
- color-contrast review and information that is not communicated by color alone;
- responsive reflow and zoom support;
- reduced-motion support;
- accessible link and button naming;
- review of downloadable documents and alternative formats where feasible;
- testing of new templates at desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.
Third-party content
Some linked services, embedded content, payment interfaces, publisher pages, or third-party tools are controlled by other organizations. RTH seeks accessible alternatives and vendors where practicable but cannot certify the accessibility of every third-party destination.
Requesting assistance or an alternative format
If you encounter a barrier, tell us the page or resource, the problem you experienced, and the format or accommodation that would help. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis. RTH will make a good-faith effort to provide access or an alternative format and to use the report to improve the underlying experience.
