A 32-story children’s publishing universe for roughly ages 6–12, paired with 32 hands-on Activity Companions, educator curriculum, family extensions, and a developing animated/cartoon series. Series mission

Everyday heroes begin with what children notice, understand, and practice.

The Heart Hero Chronicles connect story, science, social-emotional learning, emergency preparedness, healthy routines, teamwork, creativity, leadership, and community service. The books are designed to make serious subjects approachable without placing adult emergency responsibilities on children.

Across the series, children learn to recognize trusted adults, understand why AED access and trained response matter, ask good questions, care for one another, practice preparedness, reflect on emotions, and turn learning into safe family or community action.

Publishing format

Each story is built to extend beyond the last page.

Illustrated Storybook

Planned picture-book format: approximately 8.5 × 8.5 inches and about 32 pages, using bright recurring characters and age-appropriate storytelling.

Hands-On Activity Companion

Each story has a separately titled companion planned at approximately 8.5 × 11 inches and about 64 pages, with comprehension, drawing/coloring, skill-building, reflection, and family/classroom extensions.

Designed for ages 6–12 with adult guidance.
Educator Curriculum

The broader RTH IDEA Educator Curriculum and Facilitator Guide connect stories to learning objectives, vocabulary, discussion, projects, accessibility, reflection, and safe implementation.

A recurring family of characters children can grow with.

The oldest brother in the Heart Hero family—part of the recurring team that helps carry lessons about responsibility, care, and looking out for others.

A future media extension of the Heart Hero learning universe.

RTH is developing the Heart Heroes for screen-based storytelling that can extend the 32-book universe without replacing the books, Activity Companions, educator curriculum, or family learning. The concept remains in development; no television order, streaming release, production studio, distributor, cast, or release schedule has been announced.

Children are not portrayed as substitute clinicians, firefighters, EMTs, or adult emergency responders. Stories may reinforce trusted-adult help, AED recognition, emergency-services awareness, communication, preparedness, and responsible action without replacing certified CPR/AED instruction or professional medical guidance.

Development status

The animated/cartoon concept remains an active development project within the RTH children’s publishing and education universe. Public updates will be added only when specific creative, production, partnership, or distribution milestones are confirmed.
