Restarting The Heart

Published:

By Lawrence Terry · Paperback Perfect Bound · 182 pages · ISBN 9781300625322

The first published RTH book is the origin story and practical survivor guide behind the ecosystem: sudden cardiac arrest, five days in a coma, recovery, cognitive and emotional challenges, living with an ICD, family and caregiver relationships, preparedness, mental health, faith, gratitude, advocacy, and the decision to turn survival into service.

It is both personal testimony and an educational resource. Its first-person experiences belong to Lawrence Terry; medical decisions still belong with qualified professionals.

For educators and facilitators

Use the memoir to explore survivor perspectives, caregiver communication, preparedness, and turning experience into service. Companion learning is planned around guided discussion, reflection, support-network mapping, and a family or community readiness activity. These are educational applications, not CPR certification or a clinical training credential.
