Why the Initiative exists
People should not need a crisis before they learn what could help them.
RTH began with lived experience: sudden cardiac arrest, recovery, disability, family stress, advocacy, coaching, and the realization that critical information is often fragmented or arrives too late. The Initiative turns those lessons into community-facing education and support pathways while keeping personal testimony separate from medical or legal proof.
The mission is practical: help more people understand preparedness, access, recovery, resilience, and the value of acting early—whether that means knowing where an AED is, asking for an accommodation, supporting a survivor, helping a student-athlete manage pressure, or connecting a family with a useful resource.
